Collaborator Caroline Lamp, a rebellious hair artist and educator who runs her own salon ‘Outlaw Hairdressing’ based in Glasgow. She began working in the beauty industry over 20 years ago. Disillusioned with the inauthenticity she observed, she began a journey to redefine beauty for herself based on individual vs. imposed standards and norms. Her practice is one of enabling others to take this path.
Cat Cochrane is a writer, journalist and performance poet. Dipping in and out of the west of Scotland patois, her storytelling delves into working class dreams and sensibilities. Cat is currently working on a new book titled Glasgow Hairdresser’s and Barber’s Tales and is producer and host of No Dice, an audio podcast series covering stories of female gambling addiction and journeys of recovery across Scotland.
Nina Bacos' practice is collaborative. She is the founder of TalkSeePhotography, a program that ran monthly at the CCA from 2013 and was instrumental to and part of the editorial group at the artist-led Scotland based publication NOTES Photography Journal.She holds a BFA and MFA from HFF at Gothenburg University (now Valand Academy) and a PhD from Glasgow School of Art.
